Hi there! 👋🏾

My name is Cody Taylor; I am currently enrolled in a graduate program to obtain my master’s in cybersecurity at the Maryville University of St. Louis. My bachelor’s degree is in psychology and finance from the University of Kentucky. I joined the finance industry for two and half years following my undergraduate work. After working in the finance industry, I realized that I always had a passion for tech, which led me to switch to the IT industry. I have worked in the IT industry for three and half years; throughout my IT career, I have held positions on both the technical and business sides of the IT industry. These positions include Technical Support Level 1, and 2, Technical Team Lead, and my current role as a Software Asset Manager. 

Throughout my institutional experience, I have gained immense knowledge in analyzing threats, network security, and threat intelligence. Outside of my institutional expertise, I have had the opportunities and time to cultivate my leadership, teamwork, and communication. skills through my professional roles. 

Throughout the past year, I have worked on different labs utilizing the TryHackMe platform and picked up a hobby of building Legos which has helped me develop and maintain a passion for critical thinking and problem-solving. 

I love learning and trying new things, which has led me to develop a passion for the cybersecurity industry as it is an ever-changing industry that will continue to grow. 

I also enjoy playing video games, cooking, watching sci-fi movies (my favorites being the Alien or The Matrix series), watching anime, and reading manga (my favorite being One Piece).
